There are things in this world I like, and things in this world I dislike, and things in this world I am indifferent to. My likes involve superhero stories in nearly any medium, whether it be comic books, film, television, prose novels, video games, or even across cultures like Japanese or American takes on the superhero. I am also a huge fan of science fiction, particularly cyberpunk and its derivatives and related concepts. Some fantasy I like, but it is usually of the kind that exists within a modern or even futuristic world and alongside modern concepts.
The things I dislike tend to be of a more personal nature related to my own personal beliefs and ethics. As I strive to be an honest and fair-minded person no matter who or what I am dealing with, I am not very fond of hypocrisy, deception, manipulation, or deliberate distortions or misrepresentations of fact based on personal biases and have little tolerance for those that engage in those things. Hence, I am not very fond of many politicians or many corporate entities or a great number of media personalities. In that same vein, I do not suffer bullies kindly, nor do I suffer those who exploit a position of alleged advantage to the detriment of those without such advantage, so things like racism, sexism, homophobia, cultural or ethnic chauvinism, and so forth, especially in their more virulent manifestations as often encountered online offend me greatly. As all of those things are to one degree or another ultimately the manifestations of a narrow if not entirely closed mind, I do not much appreciate closed-minded people, either. On a far more intimate level, I try as best as I can to prove worthy of the trust others may place in me and not to betray their faith in me unless completely unavoidable, so people who feel perfectly fine and dandy with lying to or otherwise taking advantage of others' kinder natures do not sit well with me, either.
In all honesty, there is not so much that I am actually indifferent to, but honest intentions can make the difference between a gentle reminder to do better and be more careful and a more harshly verbalized condemnation of the malefactor's behavior and conduct. As heavy as everything I just wrote up above sounds, I'm actually quite the easygoing guy in my everyday life; I just happen to feel very passionately about my particular set of ethics, even if I don't always perfectly adhere to them. For the most part, I'd rather hang out, kick back, and spend time doing things I enjoy in the company of people I like.
